using a sim card from tmobile with a prepaid phone?

i currently have a sim card from tmobile (monthly plan) and i was wondering if i could get a different phone by buying a tmobile prepaid phone....would it work if i just transferred my sim card to the prepaid phone? and would i have to unlock the prepaid phone in order for my current sim card to work? thank you!!

HI yes you can sure use your t-mobile sim in the new phone only if it is unlocked one or else locked with t-mobile network ..Else if the phone is locked to some other network then until you unlock it you can't use it with your t-mobile sim ..If you want to unlock your phone then have a look at sites like Unlock-Free.com here they generate unlock code for some older mobile models at free of cost ..After unlocking your mobile you can freely use it with your t-mobile sim card ....
