Using the cheats for pokemon emerald on no$gba?

I tried to enter codes for my no$gba while playing pokemon emerald... only the "walk through walls" and "all pokemon shiny" codes work.. the rest show up as (?) and do nothing. PLEASE help with what to do or what the problem is??
