Vacation at 11 1/2 months?

I'm taking my son on a road trip for about a 10 hour trip all in one day. What do you suggest I bring along to keep him busy? What were your experiences? He's 11 1/2 months.
 
it's going to be tough no doubt about it but kids generally sleep a lot when the car gets going. I've done an 8 hour road trip with my daughter when she was 10 months and what i did was i split the journey up into little smaller journeys. like drive for two and a half hours then stop somewhere fun for the child just so he can stretch and have some fresh air for a bit. Do lots of signing in the car or if your not into singing get a cd that will do it for you. bottles are a great way of keeping them busy for 20 minutes or so. thats where my daughter learned to hold her bottle herself.
