The order that players must wear "predominantly white" clothing is taking a break at the All England Club.*For the first time in history, tennis players will be allowed to wear color at Wimbledon, thanks to new rules instituted specifically for the London Olympics.

Venus Williams, a triple gold medalist and five-time Wimbledon champion, is taking full advantage of the one-time exception. Venus*showed up to the Olympics with red, white and blue strands in her long, flowing braids, a beautiful blend of patriotism, fashion and individuality.

The elder Williams sister won the gold medal in the singles competition in 2000. She and her sister Serena won the doubles competition in that year and 2008. They are favored to take home the gold again in London, particularly after their dominant run to the Wimbledon title earlier this month.

Venus opens the singles competition on Sunday. She will face French Open finalist Sara Errani in the first round.
