Verizon droid bionic wont turn on?

Yesterday night I let my phone die , I didnt put it on the charger all night . When I woke up I tried putting my phone on the charger and it won't cut on . The screen stays black , I've taken the sim card and battery out and still nothing !
Could you explain a little more ? I'm not every good with electronics . What does it mean when I " Bricked " my phone ?
 
Try holding the power button for more than a couple of seconds. I doubt your phone has been bricked at all (basically a brick means that your phone has a software problem that causes you to be unable to access your phone at all). Hope this helped.
