Verizon Fios Question????

i just had fios installed and i have a question...all they did was switch boxes. my old cablevison box to there fios box...i thought fios was supposed to use high end fiber optic cables for a better picture...they used the same old cable copper wires...am i getting ripped off? should i have different cables now with fios? the picture looks the same.
please answer and tell me if you got the same cables or new ones.
