I just got me a router. its a Linksys by cisco. But the router wont work with my DSL box and for the router to work i need to call verizon and tell them to put my DSL box in a Bridge mode??? I asked what a bridge mode was and the woman who was helping me said that it was a mode that would put the DSL box in a mode where i wont be able to use the DSL Box ethernet cord directly to the PC (windows Vista) and will work with the router after.
Does that sound right to You??? and my second Question will be does anyone know if Verizon has 24 hour Technical support and if you also have the number because I cannot find it at all.
I asked this question in hardware and they said that my Verizon MODEM is a router. How do you use it. please help because im tired of waiting to go online gameing for my ps3 and saring the computer with the lil sis.
