Verizon phone activation failed, now old phone won't work?

I bout the LG VERSA on amazon, so I could switch to that from my SAMSUNG INTENSITY. I called *228 to activate the new phone and it said it could not activate that phone. Afterwards, my samsung worked fine. Then the Next morning, my samsung won't text/call because it says the phone is not activated. So I checked the lg phone to see if IT was activated now, and it wasn't. So now I'm stuck without a working phone, what do I do? How can I fix it? Do kneed Togo to the Verizon for this issue? PLEASE HELP !

Definitely go to the Verizon store. It sounds like the LG phone is activated, but just not programmed. Basically, this means if the Verizon rep looks on your account, he/she will see the LG Versa, but your phone won't work until he/she programs it to work.
