Verizon Wireless BlackBerry 8830 World Edition...Works with T-Mobile?

I am a T-Mobile member and I just got a BlackBerry 8830 from a person. It says Verizon all over the box and its on the phone, but I don't know if it can be compatible with T-Mobile. Anyone know? I use the Family Plan.

The T-mobile chip is only compatible with a T-moble phone. Same with Verizon, if the phone says Verizon, then you would have to use a Verizon smart chip in that particular phone.
