I've had Verizon for 4 moths now. Every month, it seems like they screw things up with my account or my bill on purpose to get more money from me. As much as I love the service, I can't afford to keep fixing the things that are going wrong. I was wondering how much my early termination fee would be for a smart phone... I have a Droid Incredible. I'd love to stay but I can't afford it, especially since customer support never seems to understand my problem.

It really depends on your contract length and the discount received on the Incredible when you started service. Usually, termination fees start at about $375 and go down about $5 per month that goes by. Depending on your monthly bill, the termination fee might seem huge, or it might be worth it.

But, honestly, you're just simply not talking to the right customer service reps. Has anyone taken the time to put you in contact with Verizon's Loyalty and Retention department? Verizon does not want the termination fee, because it is less money than what they can earn by keeping you for the whole contract. If you call in again, just tell them customer service rep that you are considering cancelling and that they should transfer you through to Loyalty and Retention. That department can (and should) make the necessary changes to your account to help you save money and be satisfied. If you feel like it, you can even write to me, give me a contact phone number, and I'll call you when I next go into work. Good luck.
