I would go down to the location where the Verizon Rep told you that you would not get charged. Explain the situation and show him/her the bill. Then get a statement from that person and see if that helps. Don't let Verizon scam you.

My husband recently deployed to Iraq, before doing so we got him a Blackberry Storm, and got him the Global package, so he could use it there.
When he got to Iraq we weren't sure if we would be charged extra for texting, so i called Verizon, talked to a rep, explained the whole situation, and she told me that because we have unlimited texting, and since he has the Global Package we would be safe from any extra charges. So with that i felt sure that we were ok to text. Well not so much!! I received our cell phone bill, which had an added $500 tacked on just for roaming text fees.
I called Verizon and they insist that the fee's are legit, but what about the fact that one of they're representatives gave me false information? shouldn't the company be responsible for some action?? Isn't there something I can do to fix this?
