Halftime entertainment at NBA games can sometimes be boring. However, during a recent halftime of a Phoenix Suns game, the entertainment was entertaining … to say the least. As you can see in the video below, a boy accidentally dunked himself through the basketball hoop. Thankfully, he wasn’t injured. And thankfully, it was caught on tape!
As the video begins, you can see the Suns Gorilla trying to get the crowd excited as a line of dunkers are about to begin their act. The first kid then takes off toward the bask with a ball in hand. He jumps, hits the trampoline and flies. Unfortunately, he’s flying too fast and is headed straight toward the rim. He dunks the ball but he can’t stop — and his body follows the ball into the basket.
The funniest part of the video is that the next dunker doesn’t realize what happened and dunks it moments after the first dunker frees himself from the net. In all seriousness, the boy is lucky he didn’t get hurt. He could have hit his head on the rim or backboard. He could have gotten tangled in the net. The second dunker could have crashed into him.
