Viewsat 2000 Ultra FTA Receiver does it work nowadays?

i have had this receiver for about 2 years!
i am not sure if it still works!
i cant try it cuz the tv is upstairs and the cable outlet is downstairs!
i know sometimes these receivers stop working and new ones come out! so does this one still work?
i live in GTA (canada).

no but you can buy viewsat weather forcaster from ebay for 109 dollars but you need internet connect to receive free tv search weather forecaster on google the name is misleading
