Virgin Mobile Blackberry 8530 MMS messaging not working?

I had a Rumor 2 and upgraded to a Blackberry (with the VM BB service), and ever since the upgrade have been unable to receive picture messages. Long text messages from my sister (she is on T-Mobile) won't even go through (but short ones will). My husband is on Virgin Mobile, and when he sends me a picture message it just shows up as a bunch of characters, and his number shows as "9999999999". When my sister tries to send me picture messages (or long text messages), they don't go through at all, she gets an error message on her end. I can, however, send picture messages to myself... which of course isn't much help. I have been in contact with Virgin Mobile for 2 weeks now, and they have been unable to resolve the issue. I am doubting that they will be able to resolve the issue at all. Is anyone else having this problem? I can't believe my luck would really be that bad. Did anyone else have this problem and was Virgin Mobile actually able to correct it? Their customer service has been extremely nice and seemingly helpful, but I still constantly get the feeling that they're just stalling for time... over and over again. Any other experiences like this?
 
My phone(Rumor) can send MMS, but i currently can't recieve it.
I can recieve long txts fine, I can send long txts fine, just the MMS is acting up.
I haven't tried to contact customer service or anything yet, tell me how that goes!
