Virgin Mobile: Which is better, LG Optimus V or Blackberry curve 8530?

I am 21, I enjoy google, social networking sites,i like uploading pictures, and i want to have GPS on phone. I am working but I dont really use my phone much for work.
I am an At&t go phone user but now, i am planning on getting a new phone form Virgin mobile because of their rate. Which do you think is better? a blackberry curve 8530 or an LG Optimus V? which is classier? i dont want my phone to look cheap. help! Thanks!
i want to know which is better based on battery life, experience, feel.. etc. thanks.

Well, I've had my BB Curve through VM for about 6 months now. The price is definitely right, but I've had problems with some features of the phone for about 3 months now.
1. My media card stopped playing music or videos without warning. I formatted it, reformatted it, bought a new one, everything....it won't play. It will still take and show photos, but that is it.
2. The battery life can be managed, but you have to shut almost everything off; no bluetooth, no GPS, no wi-fi. Some apps will drain your battery faster than anything. For example, I had a call-blocker app that would drain my battery dry in a day. Once I deleted that, and turned off the GPS, etc - my battery is good for about 4 days. Oh, Pandora and iHeart Radio will eat batteries too.
3. I downloaded an upgrade through the network and my phone was screwed for a couple of days; I had to go back to the previous OS.

I am currently looking at the Optimus V myself.
