Vista sidebar gadgets won't collapse?

Where can I find vista sidebar gadgets that collapse?!
thats not what i mean...i mean collapse them so that i can have several gadgets on my sidebar without them taking up so much room...before i could just right click the gadgets and click on collapse, &they would collapse small..but i had to get a new hard drive on my laptop and now they dont do that... im thinking its the sidebars problem or the gadgets themselves??? idk

At the far left of the tool bar there is a short cut to go to desktop. Click it and they will vanish. If you want them gone for good, press the windows key, type in gadgets then remove all the gadgets you have. From then on they won't pop up again.
