Vizio 3d help with LG 3d player?

I got a Vizio 3D led tv and a LG 3D Blu-Ray player with a HDMI cord. and I don't know how to make my tv go in HD mode and 3D mode it wont let me hover over the 3D box help me plzzzzzzzzz I don't get this stuff
