So I've had VM for about two years now and I don't mind paying $55 for my service, and I've never had a problem with VM itself, but quite frankly, the phones I've had have sucked. Right now I've got the Samsung Intercept. Maybe it's the fact that I've had it for a little over a year, but this phone is terrible. For example, half the time it will freeze up when someone's calling, so I tend to miss calls a lot because I can't even answer them. Sometimes it won't even let me MAKE calls. I'll key in the number and press call, but it will seriously take at least 5 minutes to go through. It turns itself off, the battery life is awful, it lags. I'm so tired of this phone. I was looking up phones to buy, and at one point I really wanted the Motorola Triumph, but from my experience with VM's phones, I'm very iffy about getting one. So I was looking at Tmobile's prepaid service and they have the Samsung Galaxy S as a prepaid phone. I don't want to fork over hundreds of dollars for a crappy phone.

Does anyone have experience with either/both of these phones and can give me some idea about which would be the better investment?

I am also a Virgin Mobile customer and reading the reviews of the Triumph made me not want to get it. I had the HTC Wildfire, but it had absolutely no internal memory, however the phone was great. So if you don't mind only having about 20 MB for apps/texts/internet cache, then I would say go for that one. I traded my Wildfire in for the Optimus Slider. Still not the best phone, but it works pretty good. I have no experience with T Mobile so I would say just look at the reviews on there about that phone and go from there. Definitely wouldn't recommend the Triumph though.
