vodafone ie broadband?

i got a vodafone ie broadband dongle an its almost up to the 5 GB limit on 3G, i heard somewhere you have 5GB of each or the same as long as overall its 10GB for example 7GB in 3G and 3GB in GPRS.. is this true or will i just end up with a huge bill? please help
