vw GTi turbo 1999 oil presure warning light?

fitted new switch, topped up oil, new filter. oil warning light still coming on. losing compresion, car stops. any ideas ?
ok, if its a faulty oil pump, is this major surgery ? im fed up spending money on this nightmare of a car.
 
faulty oil pump or a blocked oil ''siv'' pickup in the sump....DONT run it till its sorted...the second the light comes on and its running DAMAGES is occurring.
 
I had the same problem before. I took off the oil pan and the screen on the oil tube pick up was clogged. When the tube is clogged not enough oil gets into the engine. You have to change the oil pump. Also you have to use synthetic oil always!!!!!! After you are done buy SMT2 Synthetic Metal Treatment and this will increase your oil pressure. Go to smt2.com or call them: 15188759189. His name is Fred. Trust me it works good %100. By the way I changed the switches and the sensor and it didn't work!
