vw ignition coil pack?

How do you know its going out, my car has lost power intill it just stopped while driving the morning it needs to be jumped started then once started works for the remainder of the day intil it starts to lose power at of no where. Is it hard to replace and are the parts expensive ?

You can hook up a obd scanner to it. If the coil pack is at fault, an error code should be threw about it.
