VW passatt ,, 85k mls, has a vibration when accelarating 60mph to 75mph , any

ideas,, NOT tires ,? wondering if it is blocked fuel filter. previous owner let it run almost dry of fuel ,in tryptonic transmission not as bad ??
its when you give it gas , pulling away from a stop light or(automatic 5 speed tryptonic )
gear change at higher speed, seems like its starved of gas at 3,000rpm,,

As above, I'd say it's wheel balance, but it could also be that the anti vibration damper on the driveshaft has come loose & moved a bit.
