Health and fitness does not necessary mean doing an time of strenuous work out, or perspiration yourself out, walking is a useful practice for attaining fitness and reducing several diseases. It helps you in controlling obesity.

Agree with you and like to add besides controlling obesity, walking helps in increasing heart and lungs health and reduce the risk of depression, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and some cancer.

Great thread on walking benefits and like to say walk reduce the risk of heart problems by half and oxygen inhaled during walk results great energy to joints. Walking reduce cholesterol level, promotes muscular development and strengthen immune system.
