Hey everybody..i wana learn tai chi kung fu from d monks..i mean..i wana live a secluded llife like they do and learn d kung fu disciplines!
Will they take me in?
Not tht i wana teach kung fu after d training..i wana continue my studies as an architecture student..
but i also wana learn tai chi from d monks.

That's a difficult one... I know for a fact that the Shaolin Temple accepts older students with talent and potential in Wushu, but if you want to find monks that teach internal kung fu, Wudang mountains are the best place to go. Those Daoist monks and priests from the SanFeng sect are great at internal wushu. If you're interested, you can look up websites regarding Wudang Gong Fu and talk to a priest about this.

Also, do not expect your training to last months, like in the movies. It will last years and, by the time they're through with you, you probably won't be so interested in continuing your studies anymore.

If you want, you can talk to a priest called Yuan Xiu Gang about this. Here is his e-mail adress: [email protected]

There are several styles of Taijiquan. U should do some research on which style u want to learn. Chen Style Taijiquan is the original style of Taijiquan that all others are descended from.
If uve got the money. Theyll teach u. All MA schools are run as a business. MA schools in China routinely accept foreign students.

It's crazy to me to imagine learning Tai Chi from monks. I read that some of them practice and teach Tai Chi, which causes my brain to go over a speed bump.

Tai Chi is a Taoist kung fu. Monks are Buddhists.

If you wish to learn Tai Chi from a monastic order, then you should want to learn it from Taoist Priests.

If you are serious, then study Taoism. Decide from there whether or not you wish to be Taoist as a religion. If you do decide to be Taoist, then practice Taoism and save your money. While you save money, learn how to speak and write Chinese. Once you learn enough Chinese to contact and communicate with lay Taoists in China, then interact with them and tell them you want to move there and become a Taoist priest. If you manage to get their support, then move to China and become a Taoist priest and study Tai Chi. Once you're a priest for long enough, submit yourself to a temple/monastary to become a monastic priest.

If you actually do all that then you are really dedicated to this fantasy of yours. That is the reality of what it will take to do what you claim to want to do.
