you sir are a fucking genius!!!! i love u and i have no idea who u are but i am very thankful. i had opera 5.1 on my xtc but i couldnt figure out how to get it on my loft. now i have it and i have another way to get whole songs as ringtones.

go to ur gmail and attach a mp3 to it. send to ur yahoo. get on ur phone and use opera 5.1 to check ur yahoo. click on the attachment till u get a screen saying yahoo can not display view or download? click download and put it in ur music folder. wait till it downloads and viola! its in ur ringtones!!!!

Another Proven Method

You can download your own ringtones like I have on my virgin mobile loft, its a little complicated but worth the effort if you want free ringtones. You need Opera 5.1, a computer, an email address, and ventones.com

First install Opera 5.1 through the already factory installed Opera 4.2. In order to get this to work though you will need to email this link to yourself through opera 4.2.

http://mini.opera.com/download-5/opera-mini-latest-advanced-en.jad?no_redir&ismobile=false install

This will automatically prompt the install of Opera 5.1 and overwrite Opera 4.2. Now since there are still bugs with the Kyocera Loft and Opera 5.1, I would recommend bookmarking any pages that require a login that uses numbers in either the login name or password. The "number keys" do not work in Opera 5.1 with the Loft but if the pages are already bookmarked with the login information saved, then it will automatically transfer the settings to Opera 5.1.

Once that is complete use your desktop computer and register with ventones.com. Registering will require you to put your phone number in, I haven't heard of anybody getting spam or junk so you should be ok. Upload any mp3 you would like as a ringtone by clicking "Create Free Ringtones," if you do not know how to edit the song yourself, the website gives you the option of asking how long you want the ringtone to be. Remember, the Loft only has 70 mb of total internal memory so I usually kept them to around 20-21 seconds to keep the size down.

Once you have uploaded the ringtone it gives you three ways to get it to your phone, you want to use option 2. It gives you a direct download link, you will need to copy the link and past it in an email to yourself.

Go to Opera 5.1 and load up your email, open the message and click on the link. It will then give you a pop that ask if you want to save file to which folder, if its a ringtone you would select the music folder, a picture to the picture folder, etc... then hit save!

Now your phone is downloading the file, once done go to your ringtones section of the phone and you will see it there!

The same method above works for images on ventones.com as well, just make sure you select "Make Free Images."

you can just search the song you want to search in google find a website with a download link and tada it will begon downloadiong you can also hold the middle button down on any image andit will bring up a menu with the option save image click this it will bringup a save folder option jist save to photos. Hope rhis was some help and oh yeah dont dowbload a song more than six mb the download will and time out.

Works Charms:all mighty: THANK YOU and VM CAN SUCK IT, I AM NEVER PAYING FOR A RING TONE MWhAHAHAHA:stop glass:
