I live in a small community so the # of channels isn't that important. (500 and 1000 channels is waaaay overkill) Anyway, they are not using the trunking at this time, but I hear it is in the works in the near future. I do like the feature I see on some about scanning for frequencies in use (without programming in the frequency). I guess I would like one that will sit on the desk, or I could use in the car, but not wanting a portable/ battery operated one. Anybody got any reccomendations? Thanks!
