I have heard about all of his predictions and whatever, but was he actually right, or is everything about him garbage?
 
His Quatrains are just like Revelations. You can twist and warp them to mean whatever you want them to mean.
 
Yes, and no. He did actually get a lot of things right, although one could argue he was simply able to predict obvious things in the future, for example he does predict airplanes and cars. Yet, the particular events he predicted are much more vague, while some see extremely accurate, about 80-99% of it is gibberish that nobody has ever used to account for any sort of future event. If you are referring to the Sep. 11th rumors. While he does have some striking images, his true predictions are not anywhere near as accurate as the ones attributed to him... for example the two birds will strike a building one... completely fake. So basically did he predict some things? absolutely? could he tell the future? most likely not. He was just a smart guy.
 
Contrary to popular belief,most of Nostradamus's predictions did not come true. Keep in mind, he made thousands and thousands of predictions. Some had to come true just from the sheer number made.
 
People can twist his words and justify anything they WANT just like the bible preachers.

He was a phoney. You can't use predictions as a way to know things in advance. People just look at them later and are like "OH EM GEE this one kinda has some words that relate to what happened in 9/11, he must have known what he was talking about"
 
Yes, indeed a phony he was.

He was another one of those "false prophets".
 
why don't you actually read his predictions and not just take other people's word for it? The history channel often has stuff like "uncoding nostradamus" and stuff on.
 
not sure but there was an interesting program on about him on the discovery channel a couple of weeks ago.
 
Throw In David Koresh, Mohammad, Buddha, Pat Robertson and the rest in with Nostra...
 
some of his predictions were wrong, but most of them have happened.

But it's all a matter of opinion
