Was the 70s the era of the best pop riffs?

I'm thinking of the likes of the BeeGees Stayin' Alive and Superstition by Stevie Wonder. Listen to the main riff in those songs as good examples of what I'm talking about. Can you think of a pop song from any other era with music as catchy and infectious as the likes of songs from this era? Was this the best era for pop riffs?

Every era does, same with genre of music, that's a selling point, a hook to a song is what puts it on the charts
