Was the Holocaust the worst thing to have ever happened?

Mao is without doubt the greatest mass murderer of the 20th Century, people get excited about Hitler because he killed Jews in Europe, Mao killed a lot more people and was on the whole just as, if not more ruthless than Hitler, Stalin etc.

it's hard to put a tab on what the worst thing in history was even in opinion. you could say the making of the atom bomb was the worst thing ever as since that could Potentially destroy the planet.

what you you've got to know is things that are meant to kill us will do a ruddy good job of it.

Hitler believed that the Jews were a threat to Germany, his beliefs being deluded do not change the fact that his actions were probably motivated by politics. Of course its impossible to know the full extent of his reasoning.

1.the pogroms of the ussr would have been my choice too. but dont forget the ones in chinas great leap forward and cutural revolution.


as far as the a- bomb v conventional bomb.....dresden anyone

a buddy of mine said....never really checked his sources. that the japs were willing to conditionally surender.....they wanted to keep there emperior


and we wanted unconditional surender....kind of rare for the time...

but seriously the reason the helocost was remember.

1. the germans lost and were forced to some "victors justice". stalin, china and the rest. never had to account for theirs

2. the is a large(and vocal) living contigent to remember the helocost (american jews). dont believe thats important.....well look at the many genocides before hand. so one morns the loss of the hittites, and i bet few people even know the names of the people who used to live on the land your sitting on. (if your in the us).why no one is around to remind you.
