Watching my DVD movies on my ipad?

I would like to watch my DVD movies on my iPad. My friends always do that and they say a kind of software can do that? What's its name? and my computer is windows 7 64bit.

what i know is u can use handbrake software to change other types of movies (ex : avi type) to mp4 so u can watch the movie on ur ipad/ipod touch.
 
Look at your iPad. Now back at your DVD player. Now back at your iPad. Now back to your DVD player. Sadly, your iPad has nowhere to put DVDs. But if you stopped trying to do things the iPad wasn't intended for and started using iTunes, you could buy the next best thing. Look down. Back up. Where are you? Your in an electronics shop. What's in your hand? Back to me. I have it. It's a stand with iTunes cards. Look again. The cards are now movies on your iPad! Anything is possible when you buy movies on iTunes and not try to play DVDs on it. I'm on a horse.
