Watchmen blu-ray hollis mason death?

Supposedly Hollis mason's death was added in the directors cut of the movie watchmen but im almost positive i saw this scene in the Theatrical version so what gives?
 
I am a giant Watchmen graphic novel fan and when I saw the theatrical version of the movie one of the things that pissed me off was Hollis Mason's death was not in it. I hope it is in the directors cut because it wasen't in the other.
