**Please read everything, it is quite a lot but i want to get the best advice/sources, etc

i'm a sophomore in high school, and i'm going to take water polo this year

i have tried tennis last year but it was somewhat dull and the coach wasn't all that great
now i'm going to join water polo with a friend and i thought it was going to be as simple as tennis practice but i was wrong

i thought my swimming was good; i can swim in the pool and stuff fine. but i mostly go underwater and so my form for free style etc is not very good

and i just found out i can't even tread properly! (i've watched videos on how to properly tread now so it should be better

i've taken swimming when i was a kid but i really don't know anything about swimming now. i can swim underwater and such fine, but when i try to do freestyle it just feels so awkward and not right

what are some ways i can get better in water polo? any tips?

i was so embarrassed at practice a few days ago when i couldn't even swim right when all the other players were like swimming since they were 10 or whatever.

I AM EAGER TO TRAIN SUPER HARD TO GET AS GOOD AS I CAN GET IN THIS SPORT!

oh and i've done some running on my own time before, so whatever it takes to build endurance, etc, i will do my best!

How can I get better? How should I tran? What kind of nutrition/diet? Please help me!
