some great names for them ? We are bottling the following wines. 1 dry, one semi-dry, one sweet, one semi-sweet, one blush. I have to name these wines. I need something catchy so that when lined up on the shelves with about 100 other bottles, our Vineyard --Twin Oaks--,will catch the eye and people will pick us. HELP!!

This is tricky because you don't want to alienate the non professional wine drinker. Because it is a new product the snooty wine drinker will ignore it any way because they've never heard of it so don't be tempted to get too up market by giving them poncy posh names like esprit lib re. Get those everyday wine drinkers who go and buy about 10 bottles drink about 3 themselves and then don't stop telling all and sundrie that they've found a great new wine. If the wine is white and refreshing try a name that is clean refreshing and cold like Twin Oaks White Ocean Wine. A warm red, Twin Oaks Red Burning Embers. Rose, Twin Oaks Blushing Brides. Sorry I don't really know what I'm on about.

I've always wondered why there isn't a wine called Purple Rain. Maybe there is and I haven't seen it--maybe there isn't but there should be.

try small, acorn shaped labels to differentiate.
wouldn't worry about the name unless you were going to get extreme (i.e. sexual overtones).

I'd show a picture of Twin oaks with a rainbow on it.and them .I'd call the wine Golden Rainbow .....

Be careful and read up on copyright and intellectual property. If you use a name that someone else thought of, you could potentially be sued by the author for part of the profits.

For dry, try Opus One. For sweet, I suggest Chateau D'Yquem. For blush, try Sutter Home White Zinfandel. Sure, they have been used before, but they are proven very, very effective.

Name it in the four seasons?

Winter - semi-dri
Spring - sweet
Summer - semi-sweet
Autumn - blush

Why not use Twin Oaks and play up a Gone with the wind theme on the label. (Twelve Oaks)
dry could be Tara
blush could be Scarlet
one sweet could be Bonnie
semi dry could be Rhett
