called us to bring in the cars.? Okay, we went to see about trading in our truck. they made us an offer. WE traded in the truck and bought a new Ford Fusion and a pre-owned Taurus. We had to go into the dealershiop 3 times....all visits we were there for at least 3 hours. Finally Friday night threy told us great news, the financing went through, citifinacial and chase have picked up the financing. They even gave us our monthly payments for both cars and told us that paymenst were going to be due in 45 days.
10 days later...on Valentine's day...today...we get a call from the financing guy to bring in both cars because they need to register the VIN numbers because they got another bid from another bank. We brought the cars in. Then they told us that they were being audited Monday and we would have to leave the cars there but they would give us back our trade-in, our truck.
we kept asking them what was going on and they kept telling us that they don;t know. They told us then that they had another offer from another bank and we would hear from them by Monday.
What on earth just happened to us?
We are now late one payment on our truck. and we have had God knows how many inquires on our credit. Does anyone know what just happened to us and if this is legal what they did to us. I mean we went to a big FORD dealership. Our finance guy didn't even want to appera. In fact we were getting all kinds of excuses about his where-abouts!
Please help us!

i would not have taken the cars in.You should have called the finance company to see if any problems. The dealership do not own the title after you sign the papers, the loan company does.you now have extra inquiries that will bring down your FICA.call a lawyer to see and call the company you have your truck financed through to tell them the problem. Also you have signed papers the deal went through.

Call the dealership and ask to speak with the general manager. Tell them that you will not leave a message and if they care about customer care that the general manager will talk to you.

I would recommend telling the general manager that you will give that dealership free advertisement with every damn news station in that city if you dont receive answers asap. Plaster a bad name on that dealership with all the news stations.

They should start singing at that point!
