Weak battery for car audio?

So if my battery is weak (which I guarantee it is) would it impact my system enough to cut out on my bass for just a couple seconds? I was planning on getting a kinetic hc1800 anyways but I was just wondering. I have a usless .5 farad cap but I'm only pulling 500w rms but idk my alt seems fine I'm gonna upgrade it eventually. But I was just wondering if a weak battery would make it cut out
 
The battery doesn't really matter very much if the system is mostly used while the engine is running.
 
alternator is whats crucial, your running 500 rms? you are completly fine brother, i dont care if you have a geo metro cars can usually handle up to 800 watts rms with no problem. get the battery tested at auto zone or oreily auto parts as long as its around 12.6 volts the battery is good, however like i said having a good alternator is the main concern.
 
battery isnt as important as altenator,,,32 amp altenator wont cut it 75 or 100 amp
