weightlifting and nutrition question.....?

I started working out 3 days/wk and running 2-4 days/wk. I was told i need to be consuming about 3000 calories. How the hell can i do that when i gain weight when eating 1500-2000 calories???????????????

well you won't exactly gain weight if you exercise and eat healthy at the same time, cuz if you consume enough amount of calories in the morning and workout after that, then you will burn all ur calories.... and after you are done exercising you need to eat again to repaire your muscles from the workout

so you cannot gain weight just by consuming that many calories.... but you HAVE to exercise if you start consuming calories
