...their leftover products? I'm a member of a Young Enterprise company, and we're hosting a cake sale in school to raise capital with some profits going to charity.
But the main thing is how would you approach a bakery to ask if they could donate their left over products to sell? And would there be a different way to approach a local bakery to a big chain company even though we'll probably be only be able to reach a small local branch?
And if we have to send an e-mail, who would you send it to? Would customer services forward the e-mail to someone else?
Thank you in advance.
Bakeries have quality control where they throw out anything they haven't sold and is not packaged etc. Basically they throw out things at the end of the day that were baked throughout opening hours.
However not everything goes stale/hard etc, but I don't think bakeries have the facilities to keep products overhight because of the cost etc to keep said products as fresh as possile.
Another group managed to get leftovers and most of there things were still fresh and very edible. They threw away the stale stuff.
