West Coast Latinos, East Coast Latinos?

What would you say is the general difference between the two? And please, read the entire thing before you jump on me. I know, since I just got back from a trip from California, that most latinos are Mexican over there (and actually really nice people most of them), meanwhile where I live (New Jersey/tri-state area), it's basically a variety. I noticed the hispanics over in the west coast (excluding notorious areas like LA) tend to be so much nicer and more laid back while where I live they're very rude, concieted, and just generally unpleasant people. Is it a cultural thing or is just an area thing in general? Mind you I'm not trying to insult other countries/cultures (the only reason I mentioned the ethnicity was just to clarify what its like, I know those people don't speak for the countries/ethnicities stated, at least not all of them).Why do hispanics/latinos seem so much nicer in the south/west than they are in my region? And mind you if you live on the east coastyou generally know what I'm talking about.
 
Can't really understand why you chose Latinos. Having been all over the states in all areas, have found every area and those of various cultural backgrounds, display different behavior. This is true in the same location and with in the same groups. New Yorkers, in general are considered rude, but on long island I found those who polite and kind. Los Angeles, Mexicans in El Monte act different than Gardena, People from Vermont are friendly, people from Mass, are less friendly, People from Atlanta are more open, than form So. Georgia. Bottom line is it takes all kinds, and if you live in a multi cultural society, you just need to adapt, and let a smile be the way you present yourself.
 
West Coast Latinos are almost all Mexican.East Coast Latinos are from everywhere including Mexico.The attitudes are the same I feel.The image can be different & a lot of it has to do with the weather.West Coast - wifebeatersEast Coast - Goose Down Jackets
