Dark green leafy vegetables and lean meats (high iron, calcium)
Avoid starchy veggies. Any other vegetables steamed, or raw are good.
Avoid dunking veggies in tons of dressings or cheese.
Low fat cheese now and then is ok to eat, low fat milk products, etc.
Avoid pork, and beef. Do have beef, but in small amounts now and then, use primarily chicken and fish. Some seafood is high in cholesterol like shrimp, so be cautious when eating fish and seafood.
Get some fresh fruit in the diet, dark berries in season, apples, bananas are a must, as they contain potassium which you need.
Drink plenty of water, avoid soda and cut down on caffeine.
Nescafe makes some very good decaf instant coffee.
