What are car stereo Tweeters for and what Brand of Tweeters should I buy?

I recently decided to put a new sound system in my truck. Im trying 2 be universal and have different brands for all the parts. My 10'' Subwoofers are Q power brand. 2 of my 4x6 Speakers are Alpine, the other 2 are Kicker(livin loud), the Head unit is from Pioneer and I want 2 buy Tweeters but I want them to be a brand other than Kicker, Pioneer, or Alpine, What are Tweeters for and which brand should I buy? I know My sound system could be better but remember im on a budget. Thanks!
