What are common misconceptions Christians often have about Judaism? One seems to be the fact Christians seem to forget jesus and all his disciples were Jews. Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism- yet I keep meeting Christians who hate Judaism. Isn't the Old testament Jewish scripture, as opposed to Christian scripture? Then why do fundamentalist Christians put such focus on the Old testament? (wanting the 10 Commandments in government buildings, etc)
I never unerstood Christians who hate Jews- seeing how Jesus and all of his disciples were Jews. I tried to explain this to a few Jew bashers, and they really seem to think Jesus was a Christian..

That the Jews killed jesus. (If jesus existed, all evidence points to the Romans.)

1. Jews think they are a race.
2. Jews believe in hell.
3. Jews believe in the Devil.
4. Jews believe that only Jews go to "heaven".
5. Jews killed Jesus.
6. The Old Testament is the same thing as the Torah or Tanakh.
7. Jews control the media (or banking, or any other assorted industries).
8. Jews hate Christians.
9. Jews hate Jesus.
10. Jews make matzos with the blood of a Christian child.
11. Jews have a brutal, unforgiving understanding of divine justice.
12. Jews unquestioningly support Israel.
13. Jews have a set dogma (required beliefs).
14. Jews believe in the same thing as Christians (hence the "Judeo-Christian" fallacy)

There are many, many more...this is just a sample.
