What are good treatments for warts?

I have one wart in the middle of my right palm (about 1 cm from my middle finger) for about three or four years now and it hasn't shrunk or gone away. I've tried many treatment like the "Dr. Scholl's Freeze Away," (that did not do anything at all), gently scrubbing it with a pumice stone (it grew back after a while) and those medicated bandages for warts and corns. The bandages worked pretty well, however my palms are sweaty, so it was impossible for me to keep them on for 48 hours (the longest I wore it was 8 hours).

And just recently, more warts have been forming on my hands. One really tiny one that hasn't really become a wart on my left palm, and two (one big, one small) warts have formed on my thumb (where it pivots, not on my knuckles).

In the past, I once took a nail clipper and continually clipped off a wart on the sole of my feet. It kept growing back, but eventually, it bled (a lot), but it wasn't infected later, and it never grew back. Also, it healed perfectly.

So now what? I'm definitely not going clip them off, and if I keep scrubbing it with a file or pumice stone, they'll become cancerous. When will they go away? And why do I keep on getting them? Is it because of my diet (what I eat kind of diet, not the trying to lose weight kind), or lack of sleep, stress, etc?
