What are identification codes which citizens have in Australia?

Hi everyone! I have to know it because of my task at university! I shall explain, what is meant. I mean things like TFN (tax file number), which might be not compulsory, but citizens need this in order to get government provided services. In my country, in Russia, we have pension insurance number, health insurance number, etc. I did not find a lot of information about Australia, wikipedia states that people in Australia are able to get any service with driving license, however I don't believe this.

We do not have anything like a social security number.

We have a Tax file number which is used to identify us when our employer pays tax on our behalf and when we submit a tax return. Also if we receive social security payments.

We have a Medicare number which we use to obtain medical care and thats it.

We have a drivers license which has an associated number but that is only used for driving.

We like any other country also have passports and a passport number.

These numbers are only used for their assigned purpose and not as a general identification and we do not have another numbering system.
