What are pros and cons of fashion marketing and management?

Right now I am a junior in High school & of course there is alot of talk about colleges and the future. Most would say I am very creative ( but I am not the best in school) I make Okay grades, been on the honor roll a few times but nothing special. I am not the "school type. Thats why I want a job that is different from most and will also be fun for me, I was looking for something that I will always love and enjoy, so I decided on fashion marketing and management. But my mom does not like this at all and thinks I should use it as a minor and not a major & we have been getting into arguments about. Fashion is something I am really interested in & I even want to move to Atlanta for my career. pls tell me your thoughts
 
At the end of the day, it's going to be your choice and it's your life so do something you want to do and won't regret. If it's something that really interests you, go for it because you're the one that's going to be studying and working in that field.
