What are some cheap ways for and unaccompanied minor to travel to Seattle from

New York? My daughter wants to go visit her Uncle in Seattle, while I'm away on a business trip. However sending her as an unaccompanied minor on a plane is too expensive. I want to make sure that she gets there safely. She said it doesn't matter how long the trip is. Please help!

I realize that a flight is expensive, but it's also the only safe way. Flights have chaperones to look after unaccompanied minors....

The only other options I can think of are a bus service (i.e. Greyhound) or if there is a train that runs that route. Both aren't really safe means of travel for an unaccompanied minor, and I'm not sure if they even allow it.
