What are some good/interesting conversation topics?

It's the new term and I'm kinda nervous about meetin new people. Could anyone suggest some topics of conversation to talk about? eg. asking them about music, tv, their studies... obviously not those tho

You could say something about the summer..like 'what did you get up to in the summer?'

i think the best thing you could do is find out what the person your speaking to is interested in, and then ask them questions about the stuff they most enjoy! If you do that Im sure u'll make sum good friends!
