So for my AP U.S. History class, we're required to do a 30 minutes presentation on ANY United States historic events. I don't want to make my classmates fall asleep because they're grading me and I want my teacher to be amazed.

Honestly, I don't want a project on big events such as wars, or anything common, such as weapons, internment camps, etc.

I would love to make a presentation about some rarely talked about, YET INTERESTING, topic, such as the Iron Mountain.

Please give me ideas and thank you!

[PS: I'm not lazy to find a topic on my own. I've tried hard to find a great topic, but it's so difficult!]

Since you're in an AP History class, it would be presumable that your peers have an interest in history and perhaps politics. Considering this, maybe you could do a presentation on the Bank War. The dynamics surrounded a banking crisis, strong partisanship, an economic uncertainty (sound familiar..?!) could easily be linked to today, and could make for an interesting presentation.

Moreover, the Jacksonian Period of US History is a critical segment of our time, and the Bank War helps to capture this dynamic. I took the AP History test a while back ago and this era was profoundly important.

Good luck on the test and the presentation!
