What are some interesting topics for a research paper?

I'm a sophomore in college and I'm taking Rhetoric. I'm the type of person that likes to learn bits and pieces about everything so it makes it harder to decide on a good topic for a paper I'm going to be spending the next month on. I'm open to pretty much anything if there's a way to make a logical and somewhat lengthy argument on it. I'd like something original. Any ideas?
I can't do any of these topics:
*Why marijuana should/shouldn't be legalized
*Why texting and driving is bad
*Anything to do with abortion
*Anything to do with the death penalty
