I'm having to replace 2 cars- I have one picked out for my wife, and I need a commuter. I've always loved that 3rd generation Prelude and I'm considering picking one up. I work in the auto service indiustry but I deal with Cadillacs which aren't low buck or low maintenace, so I'm figuring I'll go the Honda route. What's the deal? Since most of these cars nowadays have over 100k miles, what kind of problems do they develop? I've heard people say that the tiptronic automatic transmissions can be problematic, is that true? What about the motors? What point will they need head gaskets? Valve jobs? Or can you just get in them and go like most Honda's? I'm replacing cars to get rid of a massive payment so I'm trying to keep costs down. If these things are known as problem children I'll keep looking...
