whaT are some signs a guy is not interested?

so there is this guy who i realllly really like and i am unsure whether he likes me back..like the two possibilities are that he likes or OR he is just being polite cause he knows i like him
i facebook chatted him and he responded for a minute and just abruptly ended the convo...if he liked me he would keep wanting to talk to me right? it happens alot
should i keep trying? or is this a sign he doesn't like me

That sometimes happens with me but he may just not know what to say or be doing something else. It doesn't mean he doesn't like you. Does he normally start the conversations or do you? If he does then that is a sign he is interested (as a friend or something more that is unknown). If he doesn't then either explanations could be that he is shy or isn't interested. You cannot tell just by one conversation.

No don't keep trying. You should let him make some effort too.
